Established in 1999 by Dana Klitzner, as Sweet Peas Postpartum & Infant Care Service and Nanny Agency. Sweet P Baby has become the solution to a growing need for a "next step" level of care and service once a postpartum patient transitions from hospital to home. Sweet P Baby provides emotional and educational support for mothers, newborns and family members. Dana is a CPD (certified postpartum doula), Lactation educator and has been in the postpartum infant care business since 1992.
Our primary focus at Sweet Peas is to deal with a mother's concerns and anxieties resulting from the birth of a newborn baby. From breast-feeding support to light meal preparation, we help make the transition into motherhood a smooth and positive one. It is also important for us to recognize the various postpartum symptoms that may arise during this adjustment period. Although Sweet Peas is a non-medical service, we are trained and prepared to arrange medical attention immediately.
Dana's years of personal experience in the home working with newborns, coupled with her unique ability to interview, qualify and match the right person with the right family, has allowed her to expand and grow Sweet Peas to a full service business for families with newborns and toddlers.

What is Postpartum Care?
A postpartum caretaker is known as a Doula, which means "server". In today's terms, it has taken on a much broader meaning. Doula is the name given to a "mother's helper". At Sweet Peas, that's just what we are. However, we take it one step further by recognizing our client's varied needs and providing the comfort a family would require during such a sensitive time.
